Family Service League is seeking a Per-Diem Advocate to work at a homeless shelter in Smithtown, NY. The Advocate will be responsible for ensuring the safety of families and children, providing support, enforcing shelter rules, completing intake forms, conducting checks, and more.

Responsibilities

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1 year of experience in Human Services preferred
• Knowledge of homeless population and DSS policies
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
• Computer proficiency
• Bilingual in Spanish preferred
• Valid NYS Driver's License
