Job Description

Join our team as a Certified Medical Assistant at 61st Street Service Corporation. You will be responsible for performing clinical and administrative duties to support the healthcare team in delivering top-quality patient care.

Responsibilities

Triaging patients into exam rooms, including escorting patients
Performing vital signs and EKGs, documenting in EMR
Documenting patient medical conditions and history
Scheduling diagnostic testing and turnover of exam rooms
Scanning medical records and overseeing medical supply inventory
Completing insurance pre-certifications and medical record requests
Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED equivalency
Graduate of accredited medical assisting course
Certification by AAMA or similar body required
Minimum 5 years of medical assistant experience
Strong communication skills and ability to work with insurance companies
Bilingual in Spanish preferred
Knowledge of interventional cardiology a plus
Travel required throughout NYC and Westchester County
