Job Description

Scholars at Risk (SAR) is an international network of higher education institutions and associations dedicated to protecting scholars worldwide. The Research Scientist/Director of Membership and Network Relations will be responsible for network membership growth and engagement.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategies to cultivate relationships within the SAR network
  • Oversee research across the higher education and human rights sectors
  • Promote engagement in mission-centric opportunities
  • Strengthen collaborations within SAR national sections and partner networks
  • Design outreach strategies to encourage participation in SAR events

Qualifications

  • Graduate degree in a related field or extensive comparable experience
  • 5 years of work experience in non-profit or higher education setting
  • Previous network-building and membership management experience
  • Strong team and project management skills
  • Proficiency in public speaking and delivering presentations
  • Fluency in an additional language preferred
