Job Description

<p>Scholars at Risk (SAR) is an international network dedicated to protecting scholars and promoting higher education values worldwide. The Research Scientist/Director of Membership and Network Relations will be responsible for network membership growth and engagement of SAR's member institutions, national sections, and partner networks. This role requires strong management, strategic vision, research, and relationship-building skills.</p>

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategies to cultivate relationships with key stakeholders
  • Contribute to and oversee research in higher education and human rights sectors
  • Promote engagement in mission-centric opportunities
  • Strengthen collaborations within and between national sections and partner networks
  • Design outreach strategy for SAR's Global Congress

Qualifications

  • Graduate degree or extensive experience in related field
  • 5 years of work experience in non-profit or higher education setting
  • Previous network-building and membership management experience
  • Team and project management skills
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Proficiency in public speaking and writing
  • Commitment to human rights and/or international education
  • Fluency in additional language preferred
