Job Description

Brand USA is seeking a Manager, Public Affairs to manage engagement efforts with the legislative branch and grassroots organizations.

Responsibilities

Track and report on hearings, legislation, and other issues related to travel and tourism, the ESTA fee, and Brand USA.
Maintain relationships with and respond to inquiries from Capitol Hill.
Manage the integration of public affairs needs into campaigns and public relations.
Manage speaking engagements and local connections.
Manage grassroots and association engagement strategy in key states and districts.
Produce and maintain state fact sheets.
Draft written, digital, and presentation content for public affairs needs including congressional testimony and contributions to reports to Congress.
Report to work on a regular basis and is available for occasional after-hours emergency calls and projects.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in government and political science, communications, history or similar field or equivalent work experience.
Minimum 4 years of experience in government and political affairs, with knowledge of marketing, tourism, and travel industry.
Prior supervisory experience preferred.
Ability to execute goals and priorities in alignment with business objectives.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to collaborate with colleagues, and work productively with a diverse team.
Fervent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
Dedicated remote work area required. Must have homeowners or renters insurance and comply with company technology, safety, and health requirements.
Ability to travel on occasion as required to attend meetings and/or events.
Ability to lift up to twenty (20) pounds.
