Job Description

Bloomingdale?s is seeking a Director of Visual Merchandising to lead and inspire the store team in creating environments filled with creative energy and aspirational style. The ideal candidate will have a strong creative sense of fashion leadership combined with a strategic understanding of driving business metrics.

Responsibilities

Recruit, develop and retain a team of Visual/Merchandising professionals.
Empower team to execute merchandise strategies, standards presentations, and marketing campaigns.
Develop a team that understands their contribution to customer service through presentation techniques and fashion leadership.
Cultivate strong business partnerships within the store and trade area.
Oversee design direction and concepting for window installations.
Collaborate with vendors for window design components.
Manage visual budget and prioritize based on business reports and promotional calendar.
Educate and conduct visual merchandise standards seminars.
Act as a liaison between central and stores to align on marketing campaigns and drive in-store experience.

Qualifications

Candidates should have a bachelor?s degree or equivalent work experience in a related field with 3-5 years of experience. Other qualifications include strong communication skills, ability to multi-task, proficiency in design software, creativity in visual techniques, and collaboration skills.
