Job Description

Join AXIS Capital, a global provider of specialty lines insurance and reinsurance, as a Senior Underwriter for Marine Hull and Liability. Analyze, review, evaluate, and monitor new and renewal accounts to support the US Marine Hull and Liability Portfolio.

Responsibilities

Review and evaluate new and renewal business based on underwriting guidelines
Develop strategies to procure new business targeting Middle Market to Complex Corporate risks
Analyze and underwrite individual risks within authority granted
Meet divisional servicing objectives and maintain data integrity
Perform marketing through regular broker visits and solicit new accounts
Manage and develop Broker relationships
Coach and develop junior team members
Maintain familiarity with department's lines of business and industry trends
Participate in projects as required

Qualifications

Minimum five years of experience in Marine Hull and Liability market
Build new and existing broker relationships
Develop technical skills in underwriting
Effective team player with open communication
Attention to detail and ability to establish broker relationships
